MY FAVOURITE ORGANIC PRODUCTS

Hey everyone,

In my previous blog I talked about the difficulties with finding everyday cosmetics that are free from nasty ingredients, and also touched on some of the dangers of using products with Sodium Lauryl Sulphate.

It’s really difficult to find good alternatives, but these are some of my favourites, and the most natural I can find so far.

Lavera lipstick, Zuii organic mineral makeup, Hemp lip gloss

ZUII ORGANIC FOUNDATION – roughly around $59. Pretty goodcoverage for
an organic makeup, it uses natural ingredients such as Jasmin Buds, Rose buds,
Chamomile flowers, Vitamin E, Coconut Oil, Vitamin C, Jojoba Oil, Aloe Vera and
St Johns Wort.

LIPSTICK / LIPGLOSS- Lavera and Hemp Organics are two brands I love. The lipsticks provide deeper colour, while the glosses are natural, moisturising and non sticky.

ONLY PAPAYA FACIAL CLEANSER- A blend of essential oils, jojoba and
vitamin E oils that moisturise and cleanse. Specifically formulated for sensitive skin types. Usually natural cleansers don’t stop my skin from breaking out, but so far this little gem is working well.

Papaya face wash, Soleo Organic sunscreen, ‘The Good Oil’ essential oils moisturiser

THE GOOD OIL- The moisturiser that first introduced me
to the benefits of using non – SLS products. I picked this little baby up from Currumbin markets and it works great! 100% pure oils (omega 3, 6 and 9 essential fatty acids)  this moisturiser can be used all over the body and penetrates even extremely dry skin. I use it on my face and neck, and it even seems to work as a primer, assisting makeup and sunscreen to go on more smoothly. It does take a while to work into the
skin though, so if you can’t stand a bit of oiliness on your skin while it absorbs you it may not be for you. Made from Cold Pressed Sweet Almond, Hemp seed, Avocado, Jojoba, Evening Primrose oils and Vitamin E.

SOLEO ORGANICS ALL NATURAL SUNSCREEN SPF 30+ –
Free from preservatives and titanium dioxide. Contains ingredients such as
green tea extract, grape seed oil, macadamia oil, sunflower oil, lecithin, and vitamin
E oil just to name a few. Doesn’t leave your skin white, is formulated for all
skin types and is lightweight.

PURE COCONUT OIL– A tub cost me $7 and lasts forever.
You can take a tablespoon / day of it in your smoothies, cereal, yoghurt or add
it to cooking as it has wonderful antibacterial properties. However, I like to
use it as a body moisturiser. It goes into my skin REALLY well and leaves me
smelling like a candy shop haha.

REFRESHED LEMON MYRTLE DEODORANT
Aluminium, artificial fragrance and paraben free! This roll on deodorant actually
stops perspiration and odour (unlike many other aluminium free deodorants I’ve
tried) and has a natural, fresh fragrance. Only $9.95

ERE PEREZ WATERPROOF MASCARA- My favourite for years now! A lovely
natural mascara made from avocado, almond and mamey oils that care for your
lashes. Goes on non-clumpy, is waterproof and doesn’t smudge. Removed easily
with Jojoba oil on a cotton pad.
