Do you feel proud of who you are today? . . I feel like most of us aren’t taught that pride can be a good thing . . But I think it’s important . . I think it’s healthy to be able to look in the mirror and know that despite the tough things you’ve been through in the past... that you’re one strong-ass human! . . That the things you've gone through in the past are just 'pieces' of who you are, not your whole identity . . ❤️ I'll be the first to admit..it has not always been this way for me . . 😞 In high school, I was filled with so much self-loathing and inner criticism, that I would try to go entire days without speaking . . And even when I weighed only 41kgs, at age 15, I still thought I was ugly and fat . . ❤️ It takes a long time to work through our inner criticisms and be proud of who we are . . 💙 With 1 in 5 people struggling with mental illness, I know I'm not alone . . But, I'm glad that over the years I've redefined my life and my past, so that i'm now truly thriving in life, and using my voice and experience to reach back and help inspire those who are still struggling . . 🌟 Maybe you feel the same way? . 🌟 Maybe, secretly, you dream of doing something big with your life...something you feel you can be proud of? . . 📝 Like writing a book, or sharing your story with the world to inspire and give comfort to those who are still walking through the darkness and searching for some hope 🌟 . . Over the past few years, I've heard a lot of stories that I never would have ever imagined, or expected to hear people share . . 💔I've had both men and women share with me the kinds of stories and trials that some might say would be enough to break a person . . I think that's what touches me the most, when I hear these stories . . 💙 Looking into the eyes of that person - seeing a mixture of tears and smiles - and knowing that abuse/trauma/addiction/exploitation are not just news stories. They happen to REAL people. 💫 . . But moreso, it’s about seeing the epitome of human resilience for what it is . . ✨ Knowing that despite the unimaginable pain they were once in - or still face - they are now living with purpose, and trying to make this world a better place for others . . A lot of these people say the same thing to me: they are living in order to help others; to share messages of hope; to turn their pain into purpose . . 📝 And - in their dreams - they see themselves one day writing a book and releasing it out into the world to continue the healing journey . . But the problem is - despite passion, enthusiasm, and maybe even a gift for writing - most will never go on to achieve this dream . Harsh, but true . . But the truth is, the only thing between those who dream of writing a book and DO IT, versus those who don't, is daily commitment . ✅ Daily commitment to doing 10 - 30 mins of writing a day (or at least a few times per week) . ✅ Daily commitment to researching and learning about how to GET BETTER at your goal . ✅ And most importantly, a commitment to honour your dreams by asking for SUPPORT when you’re overwhelmed and don't know how to take that next step . #commitment is the key . . 🙌🏻 SO...If you've been dreaming for years of writing and publishing your story, but don't know where to start...I can help. . 🔹 Due to demand, I've just re-opened my 'Write to Inspire' course - designed specifically for everyday people with remarkable stories of hope after adversity . .
